#Mobyx Relay (control a phone from anywhere)
Save the APK from Downloads and files, install it on the phone, open it and scan the code shown in Devices > Connection type > Remote phone. After that it runs in the background. Remote devices are part of the paid plans.
#Which connection is best?
USB — the fastest and steadiest. Use it whenever the phone is on your desk.
Wi-Fi — nearly as fast, on the same network, no cable.
Remote (Mobyx Relay) — reaches a phone anywhere with no set-up on a router. It travels through an internet relay, so it is slower than a cable: fine for taps, scripts and screenshots, slow for big files such as installing a large app.
A private network — for a far-away phone that needs speed, put the PC and the phone on one free private network (such as Tailscale or ZeroTier) and connect by Wi-Fi using the address that network gives the phone. It is direct, so it is as fast as the two internet connections allow.
#Staying connected
The line to the relay is watched. If it drops, goes silent, or is closed by the server, mobyx rebuilds it by itself, patiently and for as long as it takes. Because a connection that was cut may have lost a few bytes, every remote phone is then checked, and one that no longer answers is connected again automatically. Messages to the phone go out in the background and in order, so a big transfer never freezes the window.
